\"SoftThis couple wanted to make their kitchen remodel as warm and colorful as their cooking. Incorporating styles from other parts of their home inspired this multi-tone kitchen update, which has as many unique storage options as it does mixed shades and metals. It all culminates perfectly in this chef\u2019s kitchen for their growing family.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe aesthetic of their old kitchen was too heavy for their liking with cherry cabinets and brown stone, so the goal was to lighten things a bit,\u201d says Normandy Designer Bryan Brisky<\/a>. \u201cBringing in the blue and green tones that they had throughout the rest of their home was a must.\u201d<\/p>\n

This family enjoys entertaining and gathering in the kitchen, but the old layout made it difficult to do so. \u201cThe two-tiered island countertop made serving and prepping a challenge, in addition to not providing enough seating,\u201d Bryan says.<\/p>\n

The new kitchen island created not only more continuous counter space and seating, but also added storage<\/a>, which was another important item on their kitchen wish list. \u201cStorage was definitely a focus,\u201d Bryan says. \u201cSo we added some custom pull-out drawers, dividers, and even a message center<\/a> where they can store their keys and charge devices.\u201d<\/p>\n

Another update centered around the main appliances, which weren\u2019t ideal for their day-to-day activity in the kitchen.<\/p>\n

\"Kitchen\u201cThey love cooking and create a wide range of Indian dishes, working with a lot of spices and herbs, so having proper ventilation and a larger range was key,\u201d Bryan says. \u201cGetting all these larger appliances to fit with the design was one big puzzle \u2014 including a 42-inch refrigerator<\/a>, which was a big bonus for them.\u201d<\/p>\n

Along with cooking, coffee is taken very seriously in this household. So a beautiful coffee bar with maple cabinetry became the perfect display of his coffee-making equipment to create the perfect cup.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe overall vibe is warm and cheerful,\u201d Bryan says. \u201cThey are a young couple with young kids, so we wanted to make this kitchen a bit unique and fun.\u201d<\/p>\n
