\"VintageFrom the warm cherry wood to the professional-grade induction cooktop<\/a>, this kitchen strikes a thoughtful balance between vintage charm<\/a> and modern performance. It\u2019s the perfect family-friendly space to cozy up \u2014 and also to get some serious cooking done.<\/p>\n

At the heart of the design is the rich cherry wood featured in the island, floating shelves, and custom hood that nods to vintage craftsmanship. \u201cI wanted the space to make you feel at home,\u201d Normandy Designer Becca Ruggiero<\/a> says. \u201cThe large island has generous seating on both sides, and the thicker, chunkier legs and extra door detailing give it that antique furniture feel that makes you want to kick back and relax.\u201d<\/p>\n

A white picket tile backsplash<\/a> wraps the space and offers a traditional silhouette that subtly leans vintage with its beveled edges.\"Vintage Paired with soft ivory tones and warm wood finishes, the palette feels approachable and layered. The cabinetry features a more detailed shaker style profile, for a more elevated look.<\/p>\n

To add another contrasting element, Becca anchored the space with black and white quartz countertops<\/a>. \u201cThe black and white quartz bring in that dramatic, high-contrast moment to the neutral ivory and wood tones,\u201d Becca says.<\/p>\n

Function is just as central to the design as aesthetics. A professional-grade induction cooktop delivers serious power and calls for the substantial custom hood above, while drawer storage below keeps pots and pans within easy reach. Double ovens, a below-counter microwave, and organizational<\/a> pullouts make the kitchen highly efficient for daily family use. \u201cIt\u2019s very user-friendly for a modern family,\u201d Becca notes.<\/p>\n

The glass refrigerator doors add a sleek, contemporary edge, complemented by stainless steel double ovens<\/a> and a black composite sink that seamlessly matches the dark countertops. Mixed metals \u2014 honey bronze hardware, brushed gold accents, stainless steel appliances, and touches of matte black \u2014 add subtle depth.<\/p>\n

Overhead, a tray ceiling with cove molding and a wallpaper inset brings warmth and intimacy. \u201cThe wallpaper ceiling makes the room feel more inviting, it visually lowers the ceiling and wraps you in the space,\u201d Becca says. \u201cPeople often forget about the ceiling as another way to dress up a space<\/a>, whether that\u2019s a fun wallpaper or a pop of color, it can really help add that visual anchor the space needs.\u201d<\/p>\n

From the layered lighting to the porcelain tile rug, every detail contributes to this kitchen\u2019s comfortable-yet-convenient ambiance.<\/p>\n
